Where Is Drysdale/Curlewis:
Situated in the centre of the Bellarine Peninsula about 16 kilometers to the east from central Geelong, Curlewis / Drysdale is located on the route to Portarlington and adjacent to Clifton Springs.
History:
Miss Anne Drysdale and her friend Miss Caroline Newcomb owned large acreages of land in the area of Drysdale. Miss Drysdale moved from Scotland and farmed in the region; the magnificent house she built from stone is named Coriyule and was built in 1849.

Outdoor activities:
Have a swim in the beach during summer or walk along the beach and collect shells with the kids during the winter, or enjoy the many walks along the bay and into the town of Drysdale.
Baywater Estate fronts Port Phillip Bay and offers excellent views of the bay. Both estates offer easy access to walking/cycling trails along Griggs Creek which provide connection to the Bellarine Rail Trail.
The recently upgraded boat ramp facility provides a great fishing location.
Bellarine Rail Trail (from Geelong to Queenscliff)
The Bellarine Rail Trail provides a great path from Geelong to Queenscliff with the Baywater/Bellaview Estate being about halfway between Geelong to Queenscliff.
The trail offers a great day or weekend destination. The Bellarine Peninsula also has fine wineries, beaches and landscapes along the trail.
Shopping:
- Drysdale also offers the Drysdale Market which is on every 3rd Sunday of the Month.
- Baywater Estate and Bellaview Estate comprise around 540 lots which form part of the Jetty Road growth area. This area has been designed with a master plan which incorporates a new Shopping Precinct located approximately in the centre of the Jetty Road development.
- Safeway shopping centre with a range of specialty shops and cafes

- Dysdale Village has a number of small shops from cafes, kids wear, surf shops, hardware store, florist, pet goods, milk bars, photo/camera shop and the local Hotel.
- Drysdale offers a Council run library
- For a full range of shops you can visit the Geelong CBD (10 to 15 minutes from the Jetty Road estate)
Close to work:
- Geelong is located around 10 to 15 minutes away from the estate and the estate is around 1 hour and 15 minutes drive to Melbourne.
- V- Line train station is available in Geelong and can bring you to Melbourne in around 1 hour.
- Buses also operate throughout the entire peninsula with regular services to and from Geelong, the Bellarine and the Surf coast.
