We have spent more than  $2 million meticulously restoring and renovating the historic Pirra Homestead near Serendip Sanctuary.

Since acquiring this important icon of Lara's heritage in 2008, we have donated use of the extensive grounds and facilities by the Lara Food and Wine Festival.

This popular community event is held the last weekend in March.

Our support for the Food and Wine Festival follows our major major sponsorship of the former Lara Heritage Festival.

In another major contribution to preserving Lara's heritage, Bisinella Developments has donated the former Lake Bank Hotel to the Lara community for use as an historical museum.

Built in 1860 and de-licensed in 1909, the landmark limestone building with the distinctive stone fence, located on the corner of Forest Road and Canterbury Road West, was purchased from John “Jack” and Brenda Darcy in 2010. It had been home to Jack’s family for five generations.

The museum will be established and operated by Lara Heritage and Historical Inc.

As part of the subdivision of the two acre property, the homestead and land made available for the museum and car park were valued at more than $800,000. In addition, we are spending more than $400,000 to extensively renovate the old buildings and construct the car park – making our gift to the Lara community worth more than $1.2 million.

We have invested significantly in welcome signs and beautification works to improve the entrances to Lara.

The welcome signs, installed in 2009, were organised and supported by Lara identity Jack Richards together with the Lions Club of Lara.

We have undertaken beautification works along the frontage to Forest Road between our office and the edge of the town including construction of an attractive post and wire fence and planting of more than 200 smooth-barked apple trees.

We are proud to be working to make the entrances to Lara more attractive.

We to have donated $75,000 to the Geelong Community Foundation over the three years to 30 June 2011.

We are proud to be a major contributor to the establishment of Samaritan House, a new emergency accommodation centre for the homeless in the Geelong region.

We are proud to be a Major Sponsor of the Curlewis Golf Club.

As part of our arrangement we have made available exclusive packages for buyers of lots in our Baywater Estate at Curlewis; a golfing option including one year's full club membership valued at $1,320, and a non golfing option of social membership including $550 credit for use in the clubhouse.

We are proud to provide ongoing support to the Christ Church Community Meals Program.

An Anglican Church in central Geelong, Christ Church serves breakfast every day and an evening meal twice a week to street kids, homeless people, school children, unemployed,  stranded travellers and families in need.

We are proud to support the Clifton Springs Golf Club Annual Open Tournament held in November.

The inaugural Lara Fun Run / Walk was held on Sunday October 30, 2011.  The event supported MacKillop family services, with St Laurence Park and Lara Swimming Club also being beneficiaries.
